About the Chip & Toner Level Display
Each cartridge includes an integrated chip — no chip transfer from your old OEM cartridge is required. Simply install and print.
Canon Color imageCLASS printers may display a toner level warning or "non-Canon cartridge" alert after installing compatible cartridges. If this occurs, follow the on-screen prompt to continue — typically pressing OK or selecting "Yes" when asked whether to use the non-OEM cartridge. Print quality will not be affected. Refer to the error message guide image above for step-by-step instructions specific to your printer model.
How to Install Canon 067H Toner Cartridge
- Open the front cover of your Canon Color imageCLASS printer
- Pull the toner carousel out and locate the black cartridge slot
- Press the release tab and pull the old black cartridge straight out
- Remove the new cartridge from its packaging and shake it gently 5–6 times side to side to evenly distribute the toner
- Remove the orange protective seal completely
- Insert the cartridge into the black slot and push firmly until it clicks
- Return the carousel and close the front cover
- Power on and dismiss any non-OEM toner alert by pressing OK or Continue
Do not touch the drum or chip contacts. Fingerprints can cause print defects or chip recognition errors.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this pack include two black cartridges? Yes. This 2-pack contains two compatible 067H black toner cartridges (5106C001). It does not include color cartridges.
What is the difference between Canon 067 and 067H? They fit the same printers but differ in page yield. The 067 yields approximately 1,350 pages; the 067H yields approximately 3,130 pages. The 067H delivers a significantly lower cost per page for regular printing.
Is there a 4-pack option available? Lemero currently offers this product as a 2-pack of black cartridges. For full-color printing including cyan, magenta, and yellow, see our Canon 067H 4-Pack.
Do I need to transfer the chip from my old cartridge? No. Each cartridge already includes its own integrated chip. There is no chip to remove or transfer.
My printer shows a "non-Canon toner" or supply error alert. What should I do? This is expected when using compatible cartridges. Follow the on-screen prompt and press OK or Continue. The alert will not recur once dismissed and does not affect print quality or yield.
Will using a compatible toner cartridge void my Canon printer warranty? No. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, Canon cannot void your printer warranty solely because you used a compatible toner cartridge.
