How to Install HP 64XL Ink Cartridges
- Turn on your HP Envy printer and open the ink cartridge access door
- Wait for the carriage to move to the center replacement position
- Press down on the old cartridge to release it, then pull it straight out
- Remove the new cartridge from packaging and peel off all orange protective tape completely — do not touch the copper contact strip or ink nozzles
- Insert the black cartridge into the right slot and the tri-color into the left slot
- Press each cartridge firmly until it clicks into place
- Close the ink access door — the printer will align automatically
If your printer shows "non-HP ink detected": Press OK or Continue to proceed. This is a one-time notification that does not affect print quality.
