How to Install HP 63XL Ink Cartridges
- Turn on your HP printer and open the ink cartridge access door
- Wait for the carriage to move to the center replacement position
- Press down on the old cartridge to release it, then pull it straight out
- Remove the new cartridge from packaging and peel off all orange protective tape completely — do not touch the copper contact strip or ink nozzles
- Insert the black cartridge (63XL Black) into the right slot and the tri-color (63XL Color) into the left slot
- Press each cartridge firmly until it clicks into place
- Close the ink access door — the printer will align automatically
